Join us for an Editing Workshop
Are you a new graduate from AFI’s Editing program, an Editing alum who is trying to figure out how to get to the next level or how to get into the union? Whether you’re looking for your first union Assistant Editing gig, first Editor credit, or trying to finally qualify for union membership, this event is for you!
The Lawrence Herbert Alumni Center is hosting a virtual workshop on Sep. 20 at 4 p.m. PST/7 p.m. EST for editors who are looking to bridge the gap in their career, led by Editing Alum Brian Wessel (Class of 2009). In this workshop, you will learn how to:
- Recognize the unique challenges of the editing career trajectory.
- Identify key tools needed for joining the union.
- Discover assistant editing and editing opportunities in the non-union/union world.
- Position yourself for a successful career as an editor.
