You’re Invited: Alumni Screening and Conversation with Patty Jenkins and Roxine Helberg

We are excited to invite you to a screening of Roxine Helberg’s (AFI Class of 2011) debut feature film COLD COPY, which stars Tracee Ellis Ross and Bel Powley and premiered at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival. The film will be followed by a conversation moderated by fellow AFI Conservatory Alum and Emmy-nominated director Patty Jenkins (AFI Class of 2000). Click below to RSVP to attend!

Last Chance to Submit Your Short Film to AFI FEST!

The final deadline for short film submissions to AFI FEST is coming up on May 31, 2024. AFI FEST is recognized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences as a qualifying festival for the Live Action, Animated and Documentary Short Film Oscar® categories, and is a qualifying festival for both the BAFTA Film Awards and the British Independent Film Awards. If you are interested in a submission fee waiver which we extend to all AFI Conservatory graduates, please reach out to our Alumni Affairs team at to receive your code.



AFI Announces AFI AWARDS 2024 Date

The American Film Institute has officially announced that the AFI AWARDS 2024 will take place on Friday, January 10, 2025, at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. AFI AWARDS honors the 10 best films and 10 best television programs of the year and is unique in that is the only national program that honors creative teams as a whole – recognizing those both in front of and behind the camera.


Alumni Fund gifts are solely designated to support the future of the AFI Scholarship Fund.
